Is that gun in good condition for the forthcoming season? A strip and clean by a reputable gunsmith is imperative. Do it now, leaving it until later may be too late.
Does the gun fit you? Now is the time for a fitting, in that way your gunsmith can do the alterations giving you plenty of time to practice with it prior to the season.
How did you shoot last season? If something has gone wrong, come, see us now and let us sort it out for you. If you leave it until the start of the season, we can only patch you up with sticking plaster and not effect a proper cure.
