The Last Word
In a meeting the other day someone said I had retired. If I have, I must be dreaming! BASC Council keeps me occupied 3 - 4 days a month, and back home at the shooting school I'm as busy as ever.
The highlights of my gameshooting year were a wonderful day in the wind at Matching Hall, a marvellous day for early partridges at Walthambury with a party of Sue's and my guests, and finally shooting driven pheasants at Portavo in Northern Ireland, something surprisingly very different.
Our corporate venue at Gaynes Park comes into it's own this year. Gone is the tent, clients will be entertained in the beautifully restored listed farm building or in the Orangery. Go to our website for a link to Gaynes Park.
Clay shooting now comes to the fore and I will be out with the hammer gun again. See our diary for events that we are involved in. For all Essex wildfowlers the EJC clay shoot is on Sunday 2nd September 2007, hosted by Walton & District Wildfowlers at Walton.
